LA PAZ

La Paz was assigned the control number "27". All of the stamps delivered to this main office will have a "27" and a two digit year imprinted, generally reading down the right-hand side of the stamp.

Stamps used in La Paz are the toughest district to locate. Above are four values of thin figure stamps to the 50 centavo. Each is overprinted "27" and (in this case) "68" and each has a district name "LA PAZ" overprinted on the face of the stamp. The 50 centavo is one of the rarities of the issue, bearing both a circular and manuscript "San Antonio" cancel.
